According to this article, this amazing, amazing song is the output of a Minneapolis after school program for kids. Adorable. But also? The rap is really good.
I'm so glad this has gone viral, because I lost my mind with joy when I saw this last night!!! (I wouldn't watch a video if I didn't know what it was, so here's what it is: Gymnast Alexandra Reisman's parents get super weird while watching her perform.)
Is Kristen Wiig bummed she (A) left SNL and (B) SNL isn't on in the summer? She'd be a shoe-in!
Can there be a channel that just broadcasts Olympian parents while their children compete? I'd settle for a split screen, too.

Kerri Walsh-Jenning's mom is the mom I would least like to have to run into year after year at a neighborhood Christmas party.
I didn't watch all these videos (YET!), so I can't say who my favorite, favorite, favorite Olympic mom is, but Shawn Johnson's mom is darling, and if we went to the same neighborhood Christmas party, I bet she'd give really warm, meaningful hugs.
Just saw the new muppet movie last night. It's totally good-cute, guys. Definitely worth checking out.

One of my favorite things about my brother is that once in a while, he will send me cute pictures or videos of animals. They are always, like, north America-native wilderness animals, because that's how my brother is. (He wouldn't send me a kitten or a baby elephant or anything.)
Here's the one I received today. LOOK AT THIS OTTER, GUYS! It is so cuddly! I love it!
A couple things:
1. If you're thinking after 30 seconds okay, I get it... is there anything remarkable in the next 90 seconds or can I stop? I'd say Nah, it's okay. Go ahead and stop. Except around 1:28 the otter yawns, which is real cute, and in the last 30 seconds there's a little bit of a better angle.
2. The music choice is really random, right?
3. Sometimes I wish I had fur all over me... like animal fur. Because think about this, guys: If you like petting animals (which you do, right?), you could just rub your own arm or face or ear if you were covered in fur and get that same feeling whenever you wanted. How cool would that be?!
My friend Tara sent me this boy band parody ad for a British organic/ethical dairy farm.
Ummmm I love it.
First of all, this screen grab looks like an alt-Danielle Radcliffe with an alt-Hedwig. Secondly, it's really well done! I didn't think a boy band parody would work in 2011 (and seriously... a little bit late on the game, Yeo Valley?), but as someone who vividly remembers BSB and N*Sync on the radio, this makes me smile and is like comfort food music to me.
Also, I would totally eat their ethical yogurt now!
